Wargrave Juniors
Our coaches run various sessions and tennis camps for juniors from the age of four

General Information

Juniors are assessed at the start of each term and placed in ability groups. They are encouraged to learn all the basic skills and tactics of tennis through the LTA licensed coaches. Groups start with complete beginners and progress through the various levels up to match play.

There are junior club nights for ages 10–18 years (member only) all year round, except school holidays, with LTA registered coaches. This provides a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to improve their tennis and to meet new friends. Fridays 4:30 – 5:30pm.

Younger members (age 4–9) also have their own dedicated session on Friday from 4:30 – 5:30pm. these run from February half term through to Autumn half term but are dependant on term times and the weather. Check the club calendar for further information.

Wargrave Tennis Club takes the safety of its Junior members very seriously, see safeguarding

Summer and Half Term Camps

GDT have been running tennis camps for children aged 5-15yrs across venues in Berkshire and surrounding counties for 15 years. GDT camps have become the most fun and exciting feature in many kids summer holiday schedules. The camps run daily throughout the school holiday periods with time options of 10am-1pm, 10am-3pm and for working parents who need a little extra 8.30-4.30pm.

From day one, the children are continually assessed on ability and age to guarantee they are in the right groups. Therefore they will receive the correct level of tuition to improve their skills. See the GDT website to book online or contact our Junior Coordinator (details below)
